Most of them are boring. Ours isn’t.

Dave’s been building and wrenching on cars since the ’80s and ‘90s — decades before anyone was filming it. Ethan started his own version of that in the mid-2000s, a young kid tearing apart whatever he could get his hands on, already dreaming about the exotics he couldn’t yet afford to touch.

Seven years ago, that dream became a business. Ethan started a luxury and exotic rental company — McLarens, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Porsches, the kind of cars most shops only see once in a career. Alongside it, a small family-owned repair shop worked on everyday cars for everyday people. Somewhere in the middle of fixing exotics coming back from the rental fleet, it clicked: this wasn’t just a job. It was worth building a life around.

That’s where Dave and Ethan crossed paths. Three years ago, Dave started documenting his own builds under the name Rogue Garage. By then he already had decades behind him, plus a Hellcat-swapped, turbocharged Ram 1500 pre-runner, a widebody C6 Z06 running rear-mounted twin turbos, and an underground-racing Gallardo. From there came a fully customized McLaren 720S — each build raising the bar higher than the last. Somewhere in between, he also built a successful construction company, proving the standard wasn’t just for cars on camera.

Eventually, Ethan’s rental company closed. So did the family shop. But everything that came out of both stayed. Combine years of hands-on exotic car ownership with decades of hands-on building, and RG Motors is what you get: a shop and a dealership built by two guys who have owned, driven, wrenched on, and rebuilt nearly every car you’ll bring in, before it was ever a business.

Different decades, different roads, same obsession. That’s how we ended up here.
